The Franciscan School is seeking a faith-filled and visionary principal who will continue to strengthen our Catholic identity, foster academic excellence, cultivate faculty leadership, and guide our growing school community into its next chapter. The Franciscan School is a Catholic school serving grades K-8 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded as part of the 35-acre parish, our school strives to embody and advance the generosity, hospitality, and hope of the Franciscan tradition. Minimum Requirements:
Active, fully initiated, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Commitment to collaborative ministry and Catholic education. Possess a Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Leadership, or a related field. Possess or be eligible for North Carolina administrator licensure. Have a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience; Catholic school leadership experience preferred. Demonstrate strong organizational, financial, and communication skills. Exhibit proficiency with educational technology and strategic planning. Successfully complete all required background checks and Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to employment. The Franciscan School is part of the Education Ministry of the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Raleigh, North Carolina. The K—8th grade school was established in 2000 and is rooted in the Franciscan tradition. It provides a learning environment that embraces the Gospel values of the Roman Catholic faith. Successful applicants would be responsible for working together with the entire faculty and the administrative team to provide a safe and academically challenging environment - one that builds upon the charism of the Catholic Church and our Franciscan traditions, to form our students as fine young men and women prepared for their future academically, socially, and morally. Candidates must pass a background check and have NC teaching licensure or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure. Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in education and a record of excellence.
