Job Description Campus Ministry Leadership Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Chatham University, and Carlow University

• Build a cohesive, relational, and spiritually grounded community that connects Christian students, faculty, and staff across multiple campuses.
• Empower student discipleship and leadership and foster peer-to-peer ministry.
• Develop means of identifying Episcopal students, faculty, and staff; evangelize and invite into faith life and practice.
• Create regular rhythms of gathering—small groups, meals, prayer, service, pastoral presence on campuses, and shared formation opportunities.
• Integrate campus-ministry participants into the worship, community life, and mission of the Episcopal Church on campuses and parishes.
• Work with other campus missioners to identify and develop opportunities for ecumenical and interfaith activities and projects.
• Serve monthly as preacher and celebrant at Sunday worship as requested.
• Invite others into diocesan campus ministry through occasional presence and leadership at other congregations.
• Offer capable, thoughtful leadership at the altar consistent with Episcopal liturgical tradition.
• Preaching style that is biblically centered and communicates God's promises in Christ Jesus.
• Able to articulate personal faith and associated practice.
• Relate graciously and respectfully with people across theological, political, cultural, and generational differences.
