ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishes effective rapport with students; motivates students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education in accordance with each child's ability; establishes good relationships with other staff members. Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to district adopted curriculum Task analyzes and translates lessons into developmentally appropriate learning experiences Provides individualized and small group instruction differentiated to the needs of each student Utilizes effective Classroom Management techniques consistent with school and district policies Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and provides parent reports per district policy Identifies pupil needs, makes appropriate referrals and implements strategies for individual education plans Effectively utilizes district technologies appropriate to the position and assumes responsibility for attending district training needed to successfully perform designated responsibilities as directed by supervisor. Maintains a safe environment for students, conducive to learning. Anticipates and effectively addresses crises according to School Crisis Plan Maintains regular attendance. Complies with State Law and District policies and regulations. Actively participates in school and district provided professional learning opportunities Performs all other duties as may be assigned or directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrates knowledge of state and national standards, district curriculum and instructional materials and assessments Demonstrates knowledge of interpreting data and assessments to make instructional decisions Evidence of use of data to drive instruction Supports school and district mission and vision Utilizes effective verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates flexibility, dependability, organization and collaboration Establishes rapport with peers and parents Is willing to participate in district training Demonstrates lifelong learning Seeks opportunities to demonstrate leadership Evidence of problem solving ability Resourceful and adaptable EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts Degree Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Maintains valid certifications, fingerprint card and highly qualified status. Observes teacher calendar and all Osborn School District policies. Base salary determined at time of hire and evaluated yearly according to approved Governing Board ranges and approved professional growth.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluated by building principal and/or other approved qualified evaluators.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises students, classroom employees and volunteers.
