9529084-93010 Job Description Step into a meaningful role supporting the growth and development of preschool-aged children as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in a contract position near Camarillo, CA. This engaging opportunity focuses on working with students ages 3-5 across multiple school sites, allowing you to make a difference for up to 50 children on your caseload. Youll also collaborate with a fellow Speech-Language Pathologist onsite, fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment. The district values integrated services, and there are Occupational Therapy needs as well. Your role will begin as soon as possible and continue through June 17, 2026, offering consistency for both you and your students. Enjoy full-time hours supporting preschoolers physical and adaptive abilities, creating inclusive activities, and modifying lessons to meet individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience or credentials as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, particularly in school-based settings. Passion for working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old). Ability to adapt physical education lessons for diverse learning needs. Strong collaboration skills to work alongside other professionals, such as SLPs and OTs. Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites. Current certifications and background clearances as required for school employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver adaptive physical education curriculum to preschool students across different sites. Design and implement individualized programs for students with physical and developmental challenges. Work closely with a team including another SLP and potentially Occupational Therapists. Track student progress and maintain accurate, thorough documentation.
