9639686-92880 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with unique physical education needs across three non-public school sites. As an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) specialist, youll inspire student achievement through creative programming and tailored support. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2027, offering 20 hours per week. Your expertise will empower students in San Dimas, Pasadena, and Chino Hills to reach their fullest potential. You will work exclusively onsite, maximizing in-person engagement and collaboration. This role is ideal for dynamic educators who thrive in settings where every students progress is celebrated.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid credential in Adaptive Physical Education or eligibility for appropriate state certification Demonstrated background working with students with disabilities or in special education settings Understanding of IEP compliance, assessments, and goal tracking Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family members Availability for all scheduled makeup and regular service minutes, IEP meetings, and assessments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver adaptive physical education instruction to individual students and small groups at the specified locations Design lessons and activities tailored to each students physical development needs, abilities, and IEP goals Document all instructional minutes and maintain accurate records for IEP compliance Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to assessments to ensure each students progress is measured and supported Travel between sites within the region as required
