After-School Sports Coach Pay:

ASISA Sports Academy is partnering with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to provide Physical Education and After-School Sports Programs at elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles area. We are seeking energetic, dependable, and experienced Physical Education Instructors and Sports Coaches who are passionate about working with children. Physical educators, kinesiology graduates, teachers, and experienced youth sports coaches are strongly encouraged to apply. There are opportunities for growth within ASISA for qualified and successful team members. Positions Available Physical Education Instructor Instructors provide structured physical education, sports, fitness, and recreational activities to elementary school students during the school day. Some assignments may include working with students during recess and lunch periods.
Typical schedules include:
Monday-Friday Approximately 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Schedule may vary depending on the assigned school After-School Sports Coach Coaches provide organized sports instruction and help students develop fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and an understanding of the rules and strategies of different sports.
Typical schedule:
Approximately 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Schedule varies by school site Qualified candidates may be hired to work both the daytime Physical Education Program and the After-School Sports Program, providing opportunities for additional hours. Hours & Locations Approximately 25-35 hours per week, depending on assignments Positions are located at elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles area This is an itinerant position, and employees may be assigned to different school sites during the week Applicants should live in or within reasonable commuting distance of the Los Angeles area Reliable transportation is strongly recommended Qualifications Applicants should: Have experience working as a Physical Education instructor, teacher, youth sports coach, or similar position Have strong classroom and behavior management skills Be comfortable teaching and supervising groups of elementary-age students Be reliable, professional, motivated, and punctual Have a genuine passion for teaching and working with children Be able to follow school and ASISA safety procedures and program expectations Education Preferred candidates will have a college degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, Exercise Science, Sports Management, or a related field. College students currently majoring in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field may also be considered based on their experience and qualifications.
