The successful candidate will provide engaging physical education instruction for students in grades TK-8, promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, foster teamwork and sportsmanship, maintain a safe and positive learning environment, and support the mission and values of Catholic education. The teacher will collaborate with faculty and administration to support the academic, social, and spiritual development of students. Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Valid California teaching credential preferred. Previous experience teaching physical education and/or coaching youth sports preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration. Commitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education. Must successfully complete Archdiocese of Los Angeles fingerprinting and Safe Environment requirements. Practicing Catholic preferred but not required. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
