Starting at $60,000 per year, based on education and years of teaching experience Are you passionate about health, fitness, and helping students develop lifelong healthy habits A well-established private school in Palmetto, Florida is seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire middle and/or upper elementary students through engaging physical education programs that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall wellness. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic educator who enjoys creating a positive learning environment while encouraging students to build confidence, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyles. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy living. Teach a variety of individual and team sports, movement activities, and physical fitness concepts. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and respect among students. Maintain and organize gym equipment and instructional materials. Ensure student safety by following established school policies and procedures. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and student success. Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Physical Education is required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred). Previous teaching or coaching experience is preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Passion for helping students develop healthy habits, teamwork, and self-confidence. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $60,000 annually, with higher compensation based on education and years of teaching experience. Comprehensive benefits package.
