August 23, 2026 School-based position Qualifications Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Physical Education endorsement/certification appropriate for the elementary level Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment Responsibilities Teach physical fitness, health education, rhythms/dance, individual activities, and team sports Develop and implement PE instruction aligned with district curriculum Demonstrate and teach fundamental movement, sports, and game skills Adapt instruction to meet individual and small-group student needs Establish and maintain appropriate student behavior and classroom expectations Provide safety instruction and regularly inspect equipment and activity areas Evaluate student growth and progress in physical skills and knowledge Collaborate with PE teachers and school staff Communicate with families and school counselors regarding student progress as needed Supervise students during assigned activities and maintain equipment and inventory records Participate in faculty committees, professional development, and student activities as assigned Physical Requirements Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and participation in physical activities Ability to demonstrate physical skills and activities May require lifting and moving PE equipment When You Work withAB Staffing, You Enjoy:
