Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized physical education for students with diverse abilities. As an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, you'll have a dynamic schedule serving a small group of schools in the New Orleans area, helping each student achieve their unique physical development goals. This contract opportunity is available for full-time candidates or those interested in a part-time schedule that includes three full workdays per week.

Key Qualifications:

Adaptive Physical Education Certification preferred; PE teacher certification required at a minimum Proven ability to adapt physical education curriculum for students with varying abilities and needs Must have or be willing to complete drug screening and district-required fingerprinting Experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents is highly desirable Reliable transportation required; ability to travel between 2-3 school sites as part of an itinerant assignment Strong organizational skills and flexibility to manage varying caseloads across different campuses

Role Responsibilities:
