Job Description

Step into a dynamic school environment as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, supporting students across K-12 grades. This contract, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by designing and delivering engaging physical education programs tailored to students abilities. Youll collaborate with educators and families, fostering inclusion and progress in every class.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Physical Education or closely related field Valid Massachusetts Physical Education teaching license (Initial license) Massachusetts License in Moderate or Severe Special Needs required Previous experience or coursework in APE or special education considered a plus Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a passion for inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement adaptive physical education lessons for K-12 students in a supportive, onsite setting Assess students physical abilities and develop customized programs to promote growth and participation Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to integrate APE goals within IEPs Utilize creative strategies and modifications to ensure activities are accessible and engaging for each student Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for student success What to
