Job Description

An opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher specializing in telehealth and onsite instruction. This role supports students across kindergarten through 12th grade, delivering tailored physical education programs designed to meet diverse learning needs within an educational setting.

Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education plans that accommodate the abilities and needs of students with moderate to severe special needs. Conduct telehealth sessions to facilitate physical education instruction remotely when appropriate. Collaborate with special education teams to integrate APE within broader educational goals. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary. Uphold all standards and regulations related to special education and physical education in Massachusetts.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Physical Education or a related discipline. Valid Massachusetts Physical Education teaching license (Initial). Massachusetts license in Moderate or Severe Special Needs. Prior experience or coursework in adaptive physical education and special education preferred.
