QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Health, Physical Education, & Recreation (MX); or Health (MA) and Physical Education (MB); or Health and Physical Education (MC) Additional endorsements will enhance your application Ability to withstand the physical and mental rigors of teaching Possess well-developed problem-solving skills Possess sound, independent judgment, including handling of confidential matters Possess working knowledge of best practice strategies; able to make research-based decisions Ability to collect and analyze data to assess student achievement Ability to provide differentiated instruction for students Possess knowledge of and abide by Michigan Code of Educational Ethics Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with students, parents, and staff Ability to provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment Competency with emerging computer technologies (keyboarding, internet, email) and familiarity with student information systems Pass background check Job description available upon request For further information, please see the attached posting.
