Located near the vibrant Minneapolis area, this full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a profound impact throughout the entire school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education license required Previous experience teaching Adaptive Physical Education in a school setting highly valued Strong understanding of individual education plans (IEPs) and customized physical activity modification Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students of varying abilities and backgrounds Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement personalized physical education programs that support students' individual needs and goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and therapists to develop and integrate adaptive activities Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adjusting activities as needed to promote optimal participation and skill development Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that celebrates each student's achievements Maintain accurate records in line with school and state requirements Engage with families to keep them informed and involved in student progress and activities This opportunity lets you shape students' futures while enjoying the stability and fulfillment of a full academic year contract.
