Job Description
Under the direction of the Building Administration, the Licensed Teacher represents a broad grouping of diverse and different instructional positions responsible for developing and supporting curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; facilitates instruction, evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Participates and collaborates with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum and building issues.
Provides and delivers classroom instruction to students incorporating the essential elements of instruction.
Plans and develops instruction and assessment in alignment with approved curriculum and district strategic priorities.
Establishes and maintains management in the classroom, school premises or during school activities by communicating expectations.
Collaborates with educational professionals and administrators regarding the needs of students, instructional needs, new instructional technologies or approaches to student problems, learning or curriculum.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Education in assigned field
Current Minnesota teaching license required and/or the ability to obtain in the assigned area of responsibility.
Preferred Experience:
Weightroom and Athletic Training Background
