We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Leave Replacement to teach Physical Education Teacher/Anatomy and Physiology. The leave will start at the end of September through October and potentially November. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through engaging physical education activities and in-depth anatomy and physiology instruction. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for fostering healthy lifestyles and scientific curiosity among high school students. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive lessons, managing classroom environments, and supporting students' diverse learning needs while adhering to educational standards and regulations. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for physical education, anatomy, and physiology courses aligned with curriculum standards. Deliver instruction that caters to various learning styles, incorporating educational technology tools to enhance student understanding. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback and instructional modifications as needed. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods to ensure cohesive teaching practices. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress updates. Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing appropriate accommodations to foster success. Incorporate sports coaching experience into physical education classes to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies. Engage in professional development opportunities related to childhood development, educational technology integration, and curriculum implementation. Skills Strong knowledge of physical education principles, anatomy and physiology Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, parent-teacher interactions, and team collaboration. Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs. Proficiency in educational technology tools for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment purposes. Ability to work collaboratively with fellow teachers on curriculum implementation while maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
