Promote students' understanding of nutrition, food groups, balanced diets, caloric needs, vitamins, and the relationship between healthy choices and overall physical and mental well-being. Assess student learning and progress using a variety of formative and summative measures, adapting instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including those with individualized education plans and other accommodations. Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, assessments, and progress in accordance with district policies, state regulations, and applicable laws. Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive student behavior, encourages active participation, and supports effective learning. Differentiate instruction to foster student engagement, critical thinking, and the development of lifelong health and wellness habits.
