This opportunity near Burleson, TX allows you to use your expertise to design and implement specialized physical education programs for students who require adaptive instruction. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Certification or licensure as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse abilities in a school setting Strong understanding of adaptive physical education strategies, IEP goals, and accommodations Ability to develop individualized lesson plans to support each students unique needs Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff, families, and related service teams Genuine passion for empowering students through physical activity and skill-building
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver adaptive PE lessons tailored to students individual learning and physical needs, ensuring full participation and engagement Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other specialists to integrate IEP goals into physical education activities Assess student progress regularly, maintaining accurate records, and reporting on data Adjust teaching methods and adapt equipment as needed to create a safe, supportive environment for all students Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development within the school Offer encouragement, motivation, and creative activities to foster students physical, social, and emotional growth Step into a supportive educational environment where your skills will be valued and your contributions will make a lasting impact on students lives.
