Position Summary The Guilford College Physics Department is seeking a physics instructor to fill a temporary staffing shortage. We require a part-time instructor for one academic year to teach Physics 211 (Fall 2026) and Physics 212 (Spring 2027): College Physics 1 and 2. This is a two-semester sequence of algebra-based introductory Physics, aimed primarily at students of the life sciences and health. The course meets three times a week for 75 minute sessions with an additional three-hour weekly laboratory session. We anticipate roughly 30 students in the course. A master's degree in Physics or equivalent experience in the field is required. Applicants are required to submit a CV and a cover letter.
