School of Liberal Arts and Sciences Full-Time Faculty, Politics Cairn University's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty position in Politics. The successful candidate will likely teach introductory-level courses, such as US government and civics, as well as core program courses in political thought and American government. Additionally, the successful candidate will mentor students and oversee internships, in part by creating and maintaining healthy collaborative relationships with local political institutions and organizations. Other responsibilities include contributing to the University community through student advising, committee service, and active engagement in student life. The candidate will also be expected to assist in curriculum development and course planning. A minimum teaching load of 24 credits per academic year is required. A master's degree in politics, political science, or a related field is required, with a doctoral degree strongly preferred. Candidates must have teaching experience, with college-level teaching experience preferred.
