Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Preschool to lead our early childhood education programs with enthusiasm, expertise, and strategic insight. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development and implementation of a high-quality preschool curriculum, managing staff, ensuring compliance with educational regulations, and fostering an enriching environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for childhood development, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of early childhood education standards to inspire both staff and students alike. Should Have Experience working with Kids as a preschool director or Site supervisor permit. Duties Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of preschool curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood education and developmental milestones. Manage daily operations of the preschool program, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment. Recruit, train, evaluate, and support faculty members to maintain high standards of instructional quality and professional growth. Oversee budgeting processes, manage financial resources efficiently, and develop fundraising strategies to support program expansion and enhancements. Ensure compliance with all educational laws, licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and accreditation standards related to early childhood education. Facilitate professional development workshops for staff on topics such as classroom management, childhood development, special education law, and instructional leadership. Collaborate with school leadership on strategic planning initiatives that advance educational excellence and community engagement. Foster a positive school culture that emphasizes teamwork, inclusivity, child-centered learning, and family involvement. Requirements Proven experience in school administrative leadership within early childhood or preschool settings; prior school experience is essential. Strong background in curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children with knowledge of childhood development principles. Demonstrated success in managing budgets as an executive education administrator or similar role. Extensive supervisory experience with school staff including teachers and support personnel; ability to evaluate faculty performance effectively. Deep understanding of educational compliance standards, licensing regulations, special education law, and school legal requirements. Skilled in strategic planning, fundraising efforts for educational programs, and managing school operations efficiently. Excellent communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements with parents, staff meetings, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Knowledge of early childhood education best practices combined with classroom teaching experience in K-12 or preschool environments. Ability to lead teams through change initiatives while maintaining high morale; strong organizational skills are essential.
