The International Child Resource Institute, a worldwide organization committed to improving the lives of children and families for over 45 years, is seeking a top professional to work in a leadership position with our San Francisco Bay Area Early Childhood programs. The position requires proven success in operating highest quality early childhood programs, utilizing evidence based child development research and following highest standards and practices. Our highly sought after Emergent Curriculum programs, for children ages 3 months old to Kindergarten entry, are based on child-directed, Reggio inspired and developmentally appropriate practices. This leader will directly oversee multiple classrooms, supporting teachers in developing curriculum, communication with parents, and classroom environments. We seek a collaborative leader who displays a passion for work with young children and a calm demeanor who can connect with children, parents, organizational leadership and the communities they will serve. Key Responsibilities:
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with children, families, leadership staff, teachers and teaching teams, and the Stanford community Oversee, mentor, and support teaching staff in developing classroom environment and emergent curriculum Create a culturally inclusive school environment through a strong leadership presence, consistent communication, relationships, and center events Promote a focus on social and emotional development for children Display a strong understanding and working knowledge of early child development Collaborate with leadership teams on an ongoing basis Knowledge of and compliance with Title 22 regulations Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide opportunities for parent involvement The ideal candidate would have the following minimum requirements: MA in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (preferred) BA in Early Childhood Education/Child Devlopment, including Infant/Toddler coursework 5+ years of experience working with children ages Birth-5 5+ years of experience in a leadership/Director position Strong Leadership Abilities Extensive knowledge of Emergent Curriculum Flexibility Enthusiastic team player Positive attitude Ability to promote positive parent/teacher relations Strong verbal and written communications skills Excellent references If you are such a top early childhood leader, we will look forward to receiving your cover letter, resume and 3 references.
