We are an established preschool in Torrance seeking a warm, experienced, and organized Preschool Director to lead our school community. We are a close-knit school where the Director has the opportunity to truly know the children, families, and teachers while making a meaningful impact on the program. We're looking for someone who enjoys both early childhood education and leadership, supporting teachers, connecting with families, keeping the school running smoothly, and helping us continue to grow. What You'll Do:
As Preschool Director, you'll be the day-to-day leader of the school and a visible, welcoming presence for our staff and families. Lead & Support the Team Coach, support, and guide teachers and classroom staff Create a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment Support staff onboarding, training, scheduling, and development Maintain strong classroom standards and help teachers succeed School Operations & Licensing Oversee daily staffing, schedules, classroom operations, and school routines Maintain compliance with California Community Care Licensing requirements Ensure appropriate ratios, supervision, health, and safety practices Keep required records and documentation organized and up to date Identify needs and work collaboratively with ownership to keep the school running smoothly Families & Enrollment Build positive relationships with current and prospective families Communicate professionally and thoughtfully with parents Conduct school tours and follow up with prospective families Support enrollment, retention, and a positive school reputation Help create a welcoming school community that families are excited to be part of What We're Looking For Preschool Director or Assistant Director experience preferred Must meet California requirements to qualify as a Preschool Director Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or qualifying experience Knowledge of California Community Care Licensing requirements Experience leading and supporting preschool teachers Strong communication and relationship-building skills Organized, dependable, and able to follow through Comfortable handling parent and staff concerns professionally Experience with tours or enrollment is a plus Comfortable using technology for school communication and administration A Great Fit for Someone Who... Pay:
$57,814.00 - $69,625.47 per year
