Job Duties These are some of the tasks expected of our
School Directors :
Prepare Budgets and Annual Reports Supervise and Lead staff Design program plans based from the handbook, what works best for your weekly work schedule? Oversee random daily activities to confirm students and staff are learning/growing at their correct individual pace. Collaborate and support parents, staff, teachers, and administrators. Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards. Maintain kind, respectful, and safe emotional and physical environments for children. Follow standards described in California Title 22 regulations: including cleaning, planning, and preparation of classroom. Attend all required meetings, trainings, and in-services. Qualifications and Education Requirements Is 18 years of age or older. Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records. Ability to enforce the center's policy, program, and budget. Ability to recruit, employ, train, direct and evaluate qualified staff, and to terminate employment of staff. Director shall be on the premises during the hours the center is in operation and not accept outside employment that interferes with the duties specified. High School diploma (equivalent GED) Complete 16 hours of health and safety training. Only Candidates with these qualifications will be considered: 1) A minimum of 15 ECE units/a degree in Early Childhood Education. Including the Child Growth and Development, or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; and program/curriculum). Three of the 15 units required in above shall be in administration or staff relations. At least four years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program. OR 2) Associate degree emphasis in early childhood education or child development; At least two years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program. OR 3) Bachelor's degree emphasis in early childhood education or child development; At least one year of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program. OR 4) A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or a Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
