What they do
A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

You will work closely with the Director and Assistant Director each day as part of the leadership team, helping to support staff, maintain consistent policies and procedures, and ensure the needs of the children and families are being met.Preferred Requirements:
At least 2½ years of childcare experience Prior Lead Teacher or administrative/supervisory experience strongly preferred Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a child-related field is a plus CT Head Teacher Certificate and/or CT Director's Credential is a plus We are willing to pay for the appropriate CT credentials for the right candidate and offer a tuition reimbursement program.Schedule:
Full-time, full-year position with hours falling between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM . We can be flexible with scheduling for the right candidate. Part-time morning-only or a four-day-per-week schedule with Fridays off may also be considered.Please note:
This position requires opening the program at 7:00 AM. Applicants must be able to consistently begin work at 7:00 AM.Job Type:
