Children's National Hospital seeks a pediatric pain-trained anesthesiologist/anesthetist, psychologist, pediatrician, and psychiatrist to develop and lead a new Interdisciplinary Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center. This is a rare opportunity to serve as the inaugural Director of the Fateh Center for Pediatric Pain Management, a transformative, interdisciplinary center dedicated to redefining treatment for children and adolescents with complex chronic pain disorders. Supported by a philanthropic endowment from the Blue Pebble Foundation, the Fateh Center will open in late 2027 in Rockville, Maryland. The Center reflects Children's National's commitment to becoming a national leader in pediatric pain rehabilitation through excellence in clinical care, research, education, and innovation. The Director will define the vision, recruit interdisciplinary faculty, shape the clinical and academic mission, and establish a national destination program to advance the future of pediatric pain rehabilitation. The Fateh Center is being developed as a comprehensive, interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation program for children and adolescents with complex pain conditions. The Center will provide coordinated, function- and behavior-focused care for children and their families, with the goal of restoring independence, improving quality of life, and helping children return to school, sports, family activities, and the experiences that define childhood.
