What they do
A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
: Looking for energetic, nurturing and dedicated individual who lovesS.T.E.A.M.
inspired education to join our school family. Should be able to administer the childcare center in a manner that is consistent with the center's principles by providing a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment while adhering to DCF regulations.MAJOR RESPONSIBITIES
: Scheduling, supervising, training and evaluating staff. Managing staff time sheets and payroll. Training and preparing staff for annual CLASS assessment and ensuring a high score. Maintaining an environment that conforms to governmental and agency standards. Maintaining Food Program paperwork and submitting to the required agency. Maintaining School Readiness attendance and records and submitting to ELC. Working withPROCARE APP
Maintaining center's social media and increasing enrollment. Performing additional duties as required. This position requires level 2 background screening throughClearing House:
https://info.flclearinghouse.com High School Diploma or GED required CDA, FCCPC or AA degree in Early childhood required- Valid Florida Driver's License
- DCF 45 hour requirement
- Director's Credential with VPK endorsement
- First Aid and CPR
- Complete 30 hours of in-service training hours each DCF year (July-June)
- Experience as assistant director or center director required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS
:- Acceptable eyesight & hearing (with or without correction)
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to access file cabinets for filing and retrieval of data
- Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time (Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability)
