Job Summayr Supreme Learning Academy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Daycare Director to oversee the daily operations of our licensed childcare center in Miami-Dade County. As the Daycare Director, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements, managing center operations, supporting teachers, maintaining strong relationships with families, and promoting excellence in early childhood education. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all children. Maintain compliance with all Florida DCF licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and accreditation standards. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching and support staff. Develop staff schedules while maintaining appropriate classroom ratios at all times. Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom management strategies. Build positive relationships with families by maintaining open communication and addressing questions or concerns professionally. Monitor children's developmental progress and ensure accurate documentation is maintained. Manage enrollment, family tours, admissions, and student records. Prepare for licensing inspections and ensure all required documentation is current and organized. Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff, including CPR, First Aid, child safety, and classroom management. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with ownership to support enrollment growth, operational excellence, and long-term strategic goals. QualificationsRequired Florida Child Care Director Credential (Required) Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare center. Strong knowledge of Florida DCF Child Care Licensing Standards. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively supervise and mentor teachers and staff. Experience with enrollment, licensing compliance, and daily center operations. Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening. Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain before employment). Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with accreditation programs (NAEYC, APPLE, Gold Seal, etc.). Experience increasing enrollment and building strong community relationships.
