- 08/23/2027 About This Role The Center Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and education of the children in our care, while also overseeing the operational management of the center in accordance with established guidelines.
Parent-Teacher Conferences:
review Individualized Goals/Service Plan form to ensure it is complete with a risk assessment, goals, adaptations/modifications and/or technology needed as outlined in the GWTLP Procedural Instructions. Ensure daily parent communication reports (via Kid reports) are completed by teachers and given to parents as appropriate. Unusual Incident Reports are completed accurately, worded appropriately, and communicated effectively with parents. Collect Parent Exit Interviews upon disenrollment. Review lesson plans and give feedback to teachers, ensuring accommodations have been outlined for identified children and that plans follow the guidelines as set by GW TLP Procedural Instructions in a timely manner Ensure lead teachers implement approved lesson plans and balanced educational experiences that: Provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate their environment. Advance the physical, emotional, and intellectual competence of all children. Include therapy-related goals as identified for individual children with identified disabilities or delays. Ensure teachers select play materials and submit purchase requests prior to the start of the new study. Review and submit to the Senior Director (for review and approval) at least two weeks prior to the start of a new educational study. Inventory, store and/or issue requested classroom equipment, materials and supplies. Ensure that the equipment/ materials/ supplies are used per the lesson plan and staff properly maintain inventory of play materials and consumable supplies to limit breakage or premature wear. Develop a positive rapport with potential enrollments. Facilitate tours with parents and caregivers. Collect Visitor Cards Send a follow-up email to each visiting family with a cc to the Senior Director. Ensure classroom environments are arranged and organized to reflect the individual needs and cultural diversity of all children in the classroom. Participate in planning of center-wide transitions, staffing, and enrollment projections. Demonstrate knowledge of Child Care Food Program requirements. Ensure adherence to all CCFP guidelines, stay abreast of programmatic and procedural updates, and contract requirements set by The Florida Department of Health and Department of Agriculture Facilitate team meetings between parents, staff, and contracted therapists in adherence with GWTLP Procedural Instructions. Assist teachers in developing and implementing classroom management techniques and the development and implementation of behavioral plans as necessary. Coordinate the daily schedule and staff leave requests with the Senior Director to ensure adequate classroom coverage and keep the Senior Director informed of deviations from usual schedules. Assist in maintaining time clock reports for payroll. Hold one-on-one meetings, classroom observations, and employee performance evaluations with staff in adherence to timelines set in GWTLP Procedural Instructions. Utilizes disciplinary procedures and assists with terminating staff under his/her supervision. Ensures that ALL termination decisions are coordinated through the Vice President and HR. Maintains compliance with DCF licensing standards, including but not limited to DCF required documents for staff, students, and environmental standards. Maintain student case file system ensuring compliance with GWTLP Procedural Instructions, CARF Accreditation Standards, and DFC Licensing Requirements. Master child file including enrollment documents, immunizations, physicals, and emergency contact information Developmental Portfolios Emergency Binder Allergy Lists Media Release Ensure contingency binders, enrollment reports, critical incidents report log, internal referral forms, classroom observations and evaluations are compiled accurately and submitted in a timely manner as outlined in GWTLP Procedural Instructions. Report maintenance issues to the Senior Director with a plan for repair (can be fixed by staff, need to call a vendor, need quotes for major repair). Ensure attendance records are maintained, and monthly attendance rosters are signed by parents in a timely manner in accordance with the ELC Contract Report suspected signs of abuse/neglect to the Senior Director and the Florida Child Abuse hotline as required by law. Attend at least 10 hours of in-service trainings related to curriculum, behavior management, developmentally appropriate practices, etc and at least 10 hours of in-service related to administrative functions, dealing with difficult staff, conflict resolution, etc. Assist in data collection and completion of reports as requested by supervisor, these may include but are not limited to TLP Dashboard, United Way Quarterly Report, CHSP Application. Requirements Must have at least 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. High energy and strong oral and written communication skills, including technology proficiency. Able to work effectively with others, fostering a collaborative team environment. Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC), Associate Degree or higher in early childhood education from an accredited college or university preferred. Directors with an Associate Degree or higher must have at least one year of Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, or similar leadership role experience in a child care, early childhood education, early intervention, or related fields. Directors with the FCCPC certification must have at least ten years of Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, or similar leadership experience in child care, early childhood education, early intervention, or related fields. Strong finance and budgeting skills, as well as excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, as well as the ability to pass a full background check and a health screening. Background Check Requirements 7 Year Background screeningPay:
