The Head Start program is currently taking resumes to fill the Towns County Head Start Center Director / Curriculum Director position. This position entails being both the Center Director and Curriculum Director for 3 classrooms in Towns County. This position is responsible for coordinating all activities within the Towns County Head Start center to ensure all phases of the program are in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Agency policies and procedures, DECAL regulations, NAEYC guidelines and other applicable local, state and federal regulations. The position supervises the local center staff and represents the program within the local community. This Position also is responsible for ensuring all education and early childhood development activities within the assigned center are in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Agency policies and procedures, DECAL regulations, NAEYC guidelines and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The Curriculum Director serves as an educational coach. Interested persons must possess a degree in Early Childhood Education, with a minimum of 6 months childcare experience; experience managing and supervising; the ability to plan and organize effectively; establish community partnerships; communicate professionally both orally and in writing and the ability to travel. Salary commensurate with agency's salary scale.
