```Duties```

• Daily supervision of center (ages 5-12 years of age) for daily duration of program 6:00 a.m
• 8 a.m., after school-6:00 p.m.. M-F.
• Manage other program employees, including scheduling, paperwork, training and any other staffing needs
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum/activities for school-aged children
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
• Assess the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents/guardians on their child's development as well as communicate any needed information to families
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive child care environment
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior in the center
• Report to center director ```Qualifications```
• At least 18 years of age
• Obtained a High school diploma or GED
• Must have current infant/child/Adult CPR/FA training and Mandatory Reporter training
• Must have at least 75 points on the Iowa HHS qualifications worksheet through education, experience and training hours ```Experience```
• Previous experience working with school-aged children
• Experience in school, childcare or camp administration preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childhood education
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to create and implement engaging activities that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Familiarity with PBIS and ECRS rating systems Looking for a professional, organized individual able to lead and manage a new before and after school programming opportunity in the town of Madrid, Iowa.

Experience with managing school-aged children a must. Must be able to travel to the center and perform opening and closing abilities daily with reliable transportation.
