Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Child Care Center Director to lead our high-quality early learning center serving children ages 6 weeks through preschool. Responsibilities Provide daily leadership and oversight of all center operations. Recruit, train, mentor, and support a team of dedicated early childhood educators. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional workplace culture. Ensure compliance with all Illinois DCFS licensing standards and health and safety regulations. Build strong relationships with current and prospective families through excellent communication and customer service. Conduct tours and assist with enrollment efforts. Supervise classroom quality and support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices. Create staff schedules and maintain appropriate classroom ratios. Manage licensing visits, inspections, and required documentation. Address parent questions and concerns professionally and promptly. Collaborate with ownership to achieve enrollment, staffing, and operational goals. Maintain accurate child, staff, and licensing records. Support continuous improvement through coaching, professional development, and quality initiatives. Qualifications Director qualifications that meet Illinois DCFS licensing requirements. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed child care center. Strong knowledge of Illinois child care licensing regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with families, children, and staff. Experience with enrollment, staff supervision, and daily center operations. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Experience leading a high-quality early childhood program.
