7/8/2024 SUMMARY This position is responsible for supporting classroom education staff, including teachers and paraprofessionals, in refining their practices, enhancing instructional quality, and achieving mastery as early childhood professionals. The Instructional Coach will collaborate with staff to adhere to the expectations outlined in the Illinois State Board of Education Preschool Compliance Checklist and Implementation Manual, while also following the guidelines of the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale-3. This role focuses on implementing strengths-based instructional coaching to support early childhood educators through curriculum alignment, classroom observation, and professional development. The coach builds strong relationships with staff, provides timely feedback on lesson planning and instruction, and helps align practices with Illinois Early Learning Standards, ISBE compliance, andECERS-3. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS 1.
Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education and specific early childhood expertise 2. Competence in utilizing Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Virtual Meeting Platforms. 3. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. 4. Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs. 5. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an acceptable/courteous manner. 6. Understanding and awareness of multicultural needs. 7. Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship/attitude across all ROE programs.ABOUT THE ROE
