POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Teen Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and growth of the YMCA Teen Center and its related teen programming and drop-in hours of 3:45-6:45 p.m. The Teen Center Manager creates a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where middle and high school youth develop leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, receive academic support, and strengthen their character through the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. This position provides strategic leadership for teen initiatives, supervises Teen Center staff and volunteers, develops innovative programs, builds partnerships with schools and community organizations, and ensures the Teen Center serves as a premier destination for youth in the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive teen programming, including drop-in activities, leadership development, service learning, special events, enrichment, and Teen Advisory Board. 2. Establish annual goals and growth strategies to increase teen participation and engagement. 3. Create innovative programming that responds to the needs and interests of middle and high school youth. 4. Evaluate program effectiveness through participation data, surveys, and measurable outcomes. 5. Provide day-to-day direction and oversight in the Teen Center during drop-in hours. 6. Build positive relationships with teens while serving as a mentor and trusted adult. 7. Promote character development, leadership, healthy lifestyles, academic success, and social-emotional well-being. 8. Promote and maintain an environment and activities that will provide a positive experience for all participants. 9. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, coach, and evaluate Teen Center staff and volunteers. 10. Assist students with schoolwork, as needed. 11. Monitor participant behavior and provide appropriate guidance, conflict resolution, and discipline consistent with YMCA policies. 12. Order, organize and maintain all equipment and supplies in the Teen Center rooms. 13. Maintain accurate program records, attendance, reports, and outcome data. 14. Attend in-person trainings and online coursework on child abuse and prevention. 15. Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, and follow mandated reporter requirements. 16. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Youth Development, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred. 2. Must have previous experience working in a group setting, supervising and working with teens. 3. Must have previous experience planning and implementing appropriate age programs for middle and high school students. 4. Ability to build collaborative partnerships with schools and community organizations. 5. Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and staff supervision preferred. 6. Must have capacity to make decisions and communicate effectively with participants and parents, as needed. 7. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. 8. Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends. 9. Applicants must have, or obtain, First Aid/CPR certification within the first 60 days of employment.
