CKA Assistant Childcare Director Crowned Kids Academy | South Bend, Indiana Crowned Kids Academy is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Assistant Childcare Director to support the daily operation of our licensed childcare center. This position works closely with the Center Director and leadership team to ensure classrooms operate smoothly, staff receive appropriate support, families receive excellent service, and CKA maintains high standards for safety, education, and professionalism. The Assistant Director should be comfortable moving between administrative and classroom responsibilities. This is a hands-on leadership position, not a desk-only role. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director with daily center operations and staff supervision. Help monitor classrooms, ratios, schedules, attendance, and licensing requirements. Provide classroom coverage when necessary. Support teachers with classroom management, curriculum implementation, and daily schedules. Assist with staff onboarding, training, coaching, and accountability. Conduct classroom walkthroughs and help ensure classrooms remain organized and inspection-ready. Assist with parent communication and appropriately address routine family concerns. Support enrollment, tours, new-family orientation, and center events. Help maintain licensing, staff, child, and operational documentation. Assist with implementation of The CKA Experience™ curriculum. Help coordinate opening/closing procedures and daily center needs. Assume appropriate leadership responsibilities when the Director is unavailable. Participate in occasional CKA family events, community outreach, and service activities. Qualifications Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)

REQUIRED.

Degree must be from an accredited college or university. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting required. High school diploma or equivalent required. CDA preferred. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting required. Childcare leadership, Lead Teacher, or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Indiana childcare licensing requirements preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Must be dependable and capable of handling confidential information professionally. Must successfully complete required background checks and training. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Monday-Friday, schedule based on center needs.
