Kansas City Area We are seeking a highly experienced and mission-driven School Director to lead and oversee operations at a high-performing early childhood education program. This executive-level role is responsible for ensuring excellence in program quality, compliance, team leadership, and family engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of daily operations for one or more early childhood education centers. Ensure full compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. Champion a culture of high-quality care and early learning best practices aligned with developmental standards. Lead, mentor, and develop center leadership and staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team. Manage center budgets, staffing plans, enrollment goals, and operational efficiencies. Foster strong relationships with families and the broader community to support family satisfaction and retention. Monitor classroom environments and curriculum delivery to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging experience for children. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners and stakeholders to drive center-wide performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in early childhood education or child care management. Director Qualifications for KS Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Deep understanding of early learning frameworks, state licensing regulations, and quality rating systems (e.g., NAEYC, QRIS). Proven success in leading large teams and managing multi-site or high-volume operations. Strong financial acumen and experience managing center budgets and forecasting.
