Job Description

Summary:
The Childcare Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in the overall management and operation of the childcare center. This includes ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, as well as managing staff and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with families, teachers, and the community. Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Assist in day-to-day operations of the childcare center. Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Staff Management:
Train, supervise, and assist in evaluating staff. Participate in regular staff meetings and support ongoing professional development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Program Development:
Support age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Ensure the program meets the developmental needs of all children. Help improve program quality on an ongoing basis.
Family Engagement:
Build and maintain positive relationships with families. Communicate regularly about center activities and important events. Address parent concerns and feedback in a timely manner.
Community Relations:
Represent the center in the community. Build partnerships with local organizations and agencies. Promote the center's services and programs.

We are excited to welcome a new member to our Bright Minds Academy family! Minimum of 3 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education. Previous experience in a leadership or management role preferred. Child Development Associate (CDA) or be willing to set a goal plan and attain the credential within a reasonable timeframe. Knowledge of state licensing regulations and childcare best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
