The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in childcare management, child development instruction, and team leadership. As the Daycare Director, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, foster a nurturing environment for children, and maintain effective communication with parents and staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of young learners while ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational setting. Duties Manage the daily operations of the daycare center, including staff scheduling, enrollment processes, and facility maintenance. Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, curriculum implementation, and child supervision techniques. Ensure compliance with all local licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards, including pediatric first aid and CPR requirements. Develop and oversee age-appropriate curricula focused on childhood development, early childhood education, and preschool activities. Foster positive relationships with parents through regular communication regarding their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates. Monitor classroom environments to promote safety, inclusivity, and developmental growth for children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Implement behavior management strategies that support social-emotional learning and positive conduct among children. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings with classroom experience in early childhood education. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care practices, toddler care, and special education needs. Experience managing a daycare center or similar childcare facility with leadership responsibilities. Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred), along with familiarity with mandated reporting laws. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with parents, staff members, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments effectively while ensuring compliance with licensing standards. Background in child supervision, caregiving, behavior management techniques, and classroom instruction is highly desirable.
