EEC Director I-II - Cambridge Childcare Center Elizabeth's Daycare & Preschool Center Cambridge, MA Salaried | $53,248-$58,000 per year Elizabeth's Daycare & Preschool Center is a bilingual early childhood program serving families in Arlington and Cambridge. We are looking for an organized, motivated early childhood professional who is ready to take the next step into program leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone newer to a leadership role who wants to grow professionally, gain hands-on administrative experience, and learn directly from an experienced Executive Director and multi-site leadership team . The right candidate will receive guidance and support while developing skills in program operations, staff supervision, enrollment, family communication, licensing, and center administration. Our Cambridge location opened in October 2025 and is continuing to grow, making this an exciting opportunity to help shape a developing program while being supported by an established organization. Qualifications Massachusetts EEC Director II qualified , or Massachusetts EEC Director I qualified with at least 1-2 years of administrative or office experience in an early childhood setting Previous early childhood teaching experience Strong organizational and communication skills Knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations Comfortable working with families, staff, enrollment, and administrative systems English required Spanish preferred, but not required CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain Must meet all EEC background record requirements Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Director with daily center operations Help supervise, guide, and support teaching staff Conduct classroom walkthroughs and staff observations Monitor staffing, ratios, attendance, and classroom coverage Support curriculum implementation and classroom quality Maintain required child, staff, health, and licensing documentation Support Brightwheel administration and family communication Conduct center tours and follow up with prospective families Support enrollment and new-family transitions Assist with subsidized childcare programs, financial assistance, and required documentation Support Universal Pre-K or other publicly funded early education programs when applicable Participate in staff onboarding, meetings, training, and professional development Help with newsletters, family communication, and center events Provide classroom support when needed Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming environment Availability Candidates must be available Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM , based on program needs.
