Make a Difference Beyond the Classroom! Grow Your Career as an Early Childhood Specialist Love Early Childhood Education? Ready for Your Next Career Adventure? Are you an experienced Early Childhood Educator looking to expand your impact beyond the classroom? Do you enjoy building relationships, sharing your knowledge, and helping other educators succeed? If you are passionate about early childhood development and want to use your experience in a new and rewarding way, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity! Empower LGA, Inc. is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Specialist (ECS) to join our well-established Family Child Care (FCC) System team, supporting a growing and diverse network of Family Child Care Educators throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Family Child Care is an essential part of Massachusetts' early education system, offering families smaller, more individualized child care settings. As an Early Childhood Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting educators, promoting high-quality early learning experiences, and helping children and families thrive—all while building your own professional skills and expertise. Supporting educators with child screenings and assessments, child development, and individualized curriculum planning for mixed-age groups, primarily serving infants through kindergarten-aged children. Monitoring children's growth and development and assisting educators with identifying resources and making referrals when needed. Supporting families with accessing and maintaining subsidized child care financial assistance, facilitating parent intakes and program tours, and assisting with enrollment. Building collaborative relationships with Family Child Care Educators, families, state agencies—including the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF)—and community partners. Staying current with EEC policies, regulations, and best practices related to Family Child Care. Participating in weekly team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and is motivated to make a meaningful difference across multiple early learning environments. What we're looking for The successful candidate will be organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a busy schedule while balancing multiple priorities. Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills are essential.

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Knowledge of and/or experience with EEC regulations and early childhood programming for children from birth through age five. A demonstrated commitment to supporting culturally and linguistically diverse families, under-resourced populations, and/or children who have experienced trauma. Spanish bilingual skills desired.
