Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Childcare Director for the summer season to lead our childcare programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily activities, ensure a safe environment, and inspire children through engaging educational and recreational experiences. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong leadership skills, and a passion for working with children to create a memorable summer experience. Duties Plan, organize, and supervise daily childcare activities aligned with developmental goals and safety standards Manage classroom environments, ensuring effective classroom management and behavior management strategies are in place Lead a team of counselors and staff, providing guidance, support, and training in early childhood education practices Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a welcoming atmosphere Provide training and mentoring for employees in training Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and program progress Requirements Must have proven experience in classroom management, teaching, or childcare roles involving children of various ages Must have knowledge of EEC policies and regulations and childhood development best practices Director 1 or 2 qualifications in Early Childhood education Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is a plus Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Ability to handle behavior management challenges with patience and professionalism Join us this summer to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your leadership skills in a vibrant educational environment!
