Job Description

At EarlyDay, we are seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced Child Care Directors (Daycare / Preschool Directors) with strong backgrounds in early childhood education (ECE) to lead high-quality early learning programs and make a difference in children's lives. We have an exciting full-time Director opportunity in Fairhaven, MA. This leadership role oversees daily operations of a licensed early childhood center, ensuring high-quality programming while creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and educators thrive.
Child Care Director Responsibilities:
Oversee daily center operations, including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and program administration Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff to deliver high-quality care and instruction Support curriculum implementation and classroom quality across age groups Maintain strong communication with families, staff, and leadership partners Conduct staff evaluations and support ongoing training/professional development Support enrollment through family tours and hiring/interviewing educators as needed Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations, including licensing requirements, health/safety standards, and documentation
Child Care Director Qualifications:
MA EEC Director I Certification (required) HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in a licensed childcare, daycare, or preschool setting, including leadership experience Strong understanding of Massachusetts EEC licensing, compliance, and center operations Make a difference in early childhood education with EarlyDay — apply today.

$47,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
