Co- Director - JOIN
THE TEAM!
Launch & Learn EduCare Center in Medford provides services to children ages six weeks to Pre-K. Founded in 2015, LLEC is a well-established program seeking an experienced Co-Director with a strong commitment and passion for Early Education and Care. Working alongside another Co-Director, this is a collaborative leadership role. The primary responsibility is to provide oversight, management, and direction within the early childhood center. The Co-Director partners closely with their counterpart and reports to the Executive Director/Owner to ensure the center operates at the highest standards, following NAEYC guidelines, Teaching Strategies, and MA DEEC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain program excellence, performance, and evaluation Ensure compliance with all licensing, contracts, and regulatory requirements Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and professional growth Support recruitment and hiring to maintain high-quality staffing and licensing compliance Guide educators in developing age-appropriate, play-based curriculum Maintain and grow enrollment to meet programmatic and financial goals Assist in staff management, including supervision, observations, evaluations, and professional development plans (IPDPs) Ensure thorough staff onboarding, training, and ongoing support Contribute to administrative effectiveness through measurable outcomes and communication Provide on-site HR support as needed Monitor expenses to align with budget projections and cost-effectiveness goals Prepare and support reporting (daily, monthly, quarterly) for ownership Ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, and supportive of children, families, and staff Support family engagement through orientation, shared learning, and services
Qualifications:
Director II certification (or eligibility preferred) Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Minimum of 3 years of operational management experience in a childcare setting Strong knowledge of early childhood best practices, play-based learning, Teaching Strategies, NAEYC standards, and MA DEEC regulations Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities Proficiency with i
