We are currently seeking an Academy Director of Operations for our School. This position is a key member of the administrative/management team and works to support the mission, goals and values of our school. The Director is responsible in managing the daily operations and administration of the school and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. The Director oversees the curriculum and markets the facility and our programs. Depending on needs of the school and ratios, the Director may need to function in any capacity within the facility, including filling in as a classroom teacher and performing administrative duties. This position requires experience in childcare management/early education, strong understanding of the impacts of quality care for a student's long term success, and the ability to work with others for common positive goals. The Director effectively operates and manages all aspects of the School, including customer relations, classroom management, and quality control of operation procedures. The Director provides creative, age-appropriate programs for all children served at the School; actively develops and maintains positive customer/community relations; maintains high capacity utilization and manages all resources effectively and within budget; and establishes strong working relationships with state licensing authorities, teachers, students and families.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as our policies and procedures, Meets with licensing specialist, during inspections, Completes all required paperwork and record keeping in an organized, up-to-date manner, which includes all school files (student, personnel, vehicle, driver, health, and safety files), Submits new staff or staffing changes to licensing representative and maintains up-to-date Human Resources files, Develops and maintains professional working relationships with teachers to retain and build a strong team, Recruits, selects, and trains qualified teachers, and helps develop career growth and guidance through advanced training, Anticipates teacher needs, prepares and posts weekly schedule, and modifies schedule as needed, ensuring state staffing regulations are met at all times, Evaluates staff by observations, and provides performance reviews, Trains staff to plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate programs for all children Makes sure trainings are up to date for all teachers, Plans School activities and actively participates, including staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, planning sessions, family and community events, Ensures that control programs is met, Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates positive and amicable course of action, and responds professionally to needs of parents, Maintains the daily operations of the school, including, but not limited to, making sure teachers have materials, supplies, and all other needs for their day, and the school has all the needed items to operate with quality, consistency and produce an environment of support, Markets the school and enrolls new families to maintain full classrooms year round, Performs other duties as assigned.
