A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:
Overall responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects the preschool to include but not limited to health and safety, enrollment and financial wellness, staffing, training and retention, campus management, and delivery of high-quality education and care Ability to perform all essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, teacher and Chef. Desired skills and experience as outlined below: Bachelors or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or in related field. 2-4 years of Assistant Director or Director in a licensed child care facility Infant, Toddler or Preschool teaching and classroom experience Must meet all state qualifications for classroom teaching positions and maintain state in-service requirements (45 hours administration training, 90 hour Preschool certificate and 45 hour Infant/Toddler certificate) Strong background in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and budget management Proficient computer skills, preferable fluent with Microsoft Word and Excel Responsible for overseeing all preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations A proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining staff Possess deep love for children and a strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Meets with parents, staff, and administration and host staff meetings and other events as needed/requested Develops, documents and maintains a variety of fun and educational programs for Summer Camp planning.
