A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management- Supervise and evaluate Center Staff and Classrooms according to EEC standards
- Manage staff and keep staff records complete and up to date
- Schedule and conduct monthly staff meetings
- Conduct weekly and monthly self compliance checks
- Resolve complaints and take disciplinary actions on behalf of staff and/or parents
- Attend Center Staff events 2. Admissions
- Assist in coordinating admissions to drive enrollment at all times
- Assist enrolling families and provide after enrollment services to the families; i.e. sending the "welcome pack" to the families and provide child transition and classroom greeting to parents. 3. Coaching and Development
- Provide training to all teaching staff (curriculum, programming, and operating systems used in the center)
- Ensure that the Peninsula Montessori Academy Learning Plan is complete for each staff member and all state licensing standards are met 4. Other Tasks
- Assist in teacher hiring. Conduct interviews, reference checks, BRC checks, and teacher onboarding
- Parent management. The Center Director will serve as the primary means of contact for families in the center
- Manage staff payroll and Center budgets
- Other admin tasks as needed
- The successful candidate will be reporting to the Owner
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, business, or related field preferred, operations and management, and business growth
- Formal experience training adults using adult training principles strong written and oral Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Enthusiastic with positive attitude
- Credibility, honesty, and high integrity
Preferred:
- AMI Montessori Certification.
