Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership to the daycare team, setting high standards for quality care and educational excellence. Oversee daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental milestones and curriculum standards. Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR requirements. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns proactively. Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development in areas such as child supervision, behavior management, and classroom management. Implement policies that support inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs while promoting a nurturing environment for all children. Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met through regular inspections, sanitation procedures, and emergency preparedness drills. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings, including classroom experience with preschoolers and infants. Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and familiarity with mandated reporting laws. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff, communicate effectively with parents, and manage day-to-day operations confidently. Background in early childhood education or related fields such as special education or childhood development instruction.
