Responsibilities are as follows:

• Cultivate positive and strong relationships with staff, families, state licensing representatives and the community.
• Provide a nurturing environment for optimal growth and development of our children.
• Oversee day to day operations while serving in various roles as needed.
• Manage hiring of staff, training and continued professional development of all employees.
• Create and maintain daily schedules, file organization, and billing and acceptance of weekly tuition.
• Encompass exceptional communication, administration, organizational, verbal and listening skills.
• Posses the ability to work indoors and outdoors, bending, sitting and standing at all levels to ensure physical and visual contact with children.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing and that all rules and regulations are enforced.
• CPR and First Aid Certification, Basic computer skills, must submit to a Background Test, must provide or be willing to provide a TB Test, and meet all requirements in the State of Michigan to be a Daycare Director (Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA with early childhood college credits and experience hours).
