Role:
Its A Small World Preschool and Child Care is looking for a passionate and dedicated GSRP Teacher to join their team in Pittsfield Township, MI! This is an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners by delivering high-quality early childhood education through Michigan's Great Start Readiness Program. Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate GSRP curriculum aligned with Michigan's Early Childhood Standards of Quality Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate developmental records Build positive relationships with families through regular communication and family engagement activities Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and program coordinators to ensure program quality Participate in required GSRP professional development, training, and coaching sessions Complete required documentation, lesson plans, and reporting in compliance with GSRP guidelines
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required for GSRP lead teacher eligibility) Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood endorsement preferred Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in an early childhood setting Knowledge of GSRP program requirements and Michigan's Great Start to Quality standards Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues Must meet Michigan licensing background check requirements
