Kiddie Academy of St. Peters is seeking an experienced Childcare Center Director with previous leadership experience in a licensed childcare center. Candidates must have experience managing staff, maintaining licensing compliance, overseeing enrollment, communicating with families, managing staff schedules, and supporting the financial and operational performance of a childcare center. Key Responsibilities Provide strong daily leadership and oversee all academy operations. Maintain full compliance with Missouri childcare licensing, health, safety, and Kiddie Academy standards. Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and retain qualified teachers and staff. Create and manage employee schedules while maintaining proper classroom ratios. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide teachers with feedback, support, and professional development. Ensure classrooms are clean, organized, properly staffed, and providing high-quality learning experiences. Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, teachers, and community partners. Respond to parent questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and compassionately. Conduct engaging academy tours, follow up with prospective families, and support enrollment growth. Manage new-family onboarding, classroom transitions, and ongoing family communication. Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure lesson plans meet Kiddie Academy and developmental standards. Monitor attendance, staffing, payroll information, employee files, training records, and required documentation. Help manage academy expenses, supplies, food costs, and operational budgets. Plan and support family events, community outreach, seasonal programs, and academy celebrations. Partner closely with ownership to establish goals, review performance, solve problems, and continue growing the academy. Be available to assist in classrooms or with academy operations when needed. Perform additional leadership and operational responsibilities as the academy continues to grow. Qualifications Previous childcare center management or assistant director experience is required. Strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development. Understanding of Missouri childcare licensing and classroom ratio requirements. Experience supervising, coaching, and holding employees accountable. Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced childcare environment. Strong customer-service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with families. Comfortable conducting tours, following up with prospective families, and supporting enrollment goals. Proficient with email, scheduling systems, childcare management software, and basic office technology. Must meet all state-required background screening, education, training, and director qualifications. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be completed upon hire.
